Magazines
A Passion for Writing I freelance for a variety of magazines around the world. Most recently I served as editor for Cottage Life West (formerly Cottage), western Canada’s premier cottage and rural living magazine. Prior to that I was the editor of Pacific Yachting magazine, Canada’s largest and most respected recreational boating magazine. My primary expertise is boating (both power and sail), outdoor adventure and rural living, though my interests go far beyond, including the environment and marine ecosystems. Among the recreational boating magazines I’ve written for are Outboard, Passagemaker, Power and Motoryacht, SEA, Northwest Yachting, Cruising World, Southern Boating, Work Boat World, DIY Boat Owner, Pacific MotorYacht, Marine Electronics Journal, Superyacht Business, Boat Exclusive, Western Mariner, Seafood Business, BC Sport Fishing, Discover Boating Canada and National Fisherman. I have written about many other subjects for magazines such as BC Business, Finning International, Black Press, The Vancouver Sun, Beautiful British Columbia, British Columbia Magazine, Cottage/Cottage Life/Cottage Life West and others. My long experience has given me the ability to research and write about any topic and deliver good, “meaty” copy on time and to length.
